August 10, 2010 - Today, Redstone Test Center (RTC) Advanced Test Office (ATO) announced that GaN was chosen to provide engineering support for advanced test technology including technology investment strategic planning, experimentation support, and roadmap development. GaN, as the prime contractor, will lead a high capable team consisting CAS Inc, CSC, DSCI, Georgia Tech Research Institute, Kenetics, Morgan Research/Stanley, MSCI, Polaris Sensor Technologies, Southwest Research Institute, Teledyne Brown Engineering, and Trideum. This contract is directly awarded to GaN as a full-and-open contract under the AMCOM EXPRESS BPA. GaN currently provides comprehensive test engineering support for RTC, WSMR, OTC, and AEC.
November 19, 2009 - GaN was selected as one of three finalists for the 2009 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau. Over 170 companies across North Alabama were nominated for the Torch Award. This is the second year in a row GaN has received this honor.
September 25, 2009 - GaN won a contract with USASMDC/ ARSTRAT to operate and maintain the Future Warfare Center Simulation Center, a high performance supercomputing center, which supports Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Major Defense Acquisition and Technology Programs, USASMDC/ ARSTRAT, High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP), and other government agency programs. September 4, 2009 - The Huntsville Chamber of Commerce announced Dr. Jonn Kim as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year for Huntsville/Madison County.
September 1, 2009 - In their 2009 Annual Report, Inc. 500 ranks GaN as the 2nd fastest growing company in Alabama and as the 59th fastest growing company nationwide in the category of Government Services.
November 2008 - GaN was nominated for the 2008 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in the category of Technology, and won the Finalist Award. The Torch Award is sponsored by the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama to honor corporations that exhibit long-term trustworthiness and honorable business practices.
August 2008 - GaN was awarded a prime contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide interior design support for office and barracks furnishing for projects including the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) project for the Centrally Managed Furnishing Program.
August 2008 - GaN was nominated for the 2008 Huntsville / Madison County Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year Award. The award spotlights entrepreneurial corporations for their outstanding accomplishments as small business leaders. GaN has been nominated two years in a row.
May 2008 - GaN won an IDIQ award from NASA MSFC to provide engineering services and programmatic support. We look forward to providing technical expertise in design, integration, and testing of the Ares launch vehicle.
October 2007 - GaN Corporation received a major sensor development contract, High Fidelity Imaging System (HiFIS). It is a five year program to develop an advanced multi-spectral imaging system that incorporates an innovated algorithm to allow real-time tracking of key objects of interest. The sensor system will dwell at unspecified altitude for a long duration. The contract will be managed by U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC).
June 2007 - GaN won a Test Technology Contract to support Operational Test Command. GaN will provide engineering services to OTC in the following areas: Modeling and Simulation, Distributed Testing, Instrumentation, Data Management, Logistics, and Systems Engineering. GaN welcomes new employees who will be supporting this contract.
