GaN Corporation is a small business providing technical and management services to
government and commercial customers in the areas of System Analysis, Test and Evaluation (T&E),
Sensors System Development, Distributed Computing, Modeling and Simulation (M&S),
Information Technologies, Architecture, Logistics, Quality Assurance (QA),
Configuration Management (CM), and Hardware and Software Development.
GaN was incorporated in 2004 and currently has offices in Las Cruces, NM and
Huntsville, AL. In addition, we have employees at Ft. Hood, TX, and Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
GaN has grown to a staff of 90+ employees in only 6 years.
In 2009, the Inc. 500® Annual Report listed GaN as the 59th fastest-growing government
services company nationwide. Dr. Jonn Kim, GaN’s founder and CEO, was named one of
three finalists in the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce’s 2009 and 2010
Executive Leadership award.

Geeks and Nerds (GaN) Corporation was started by Dr. Jonn Kim
with the purpose of being a high-tech technical services firm with
a primary focus on people: its employees, its customers, its business
partners, and others that it comes in contact with through day-to-day
business dealings.
Dr. Jonn Kim has over 20 years of experience in engineering and management for federal government, commercial industries, and academia. His technical background includes test & evaluation (T&E), modeling & simulation (M&S), communications theory, signal and image processing, ultra-wide band radar, robotics, artificial intelligence, and electronics.
Dr. Kim received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He holds multiple patents and publishes numerous papers at conferences for IEEE, ITEA, and SIW. He is a member of Vanderbilt University Industry Advisory Committee, IEEE, NDIA, and ITEA.
